I mentioned it briefly in one of my recent posts, but Warhammer: Onlinehas reached the point where we can preorder it. That's big news!
I was really hyped for the game a few months back but through sheer force of will I was able to suppress the longing so as to deal with the endless delays. I want the product to be the best it can possibly be coming out of the gate. But damn I want them to work faster!
Inevitably Erdrick was sadistic enough to let me know that preorders opened and with it a sweet collectors edition with all sorts of awesome stuff I'll probably just shove under my bed and forget about. But really that doesn't phase me, I still want that hardcover artbook and Greenskin figure!
Really the wait for this game has to be boring holes into the sanity of those that are frothing at the mere mention of a potential release date. I was free from that torture for a good 3 months at least. Now I can't stop thinking about it again. Damn you Erdrick...
One of the most pleasing things to me about this game is that they are throwing away most of the things I despise about MMO's. No longer will I be tasked with collecting 15 Rabbit Spleens only to find out that only 1 in 6 rabbits has one. Silly me, I thought spleens were a pretty common thing.
I could always make excuses for the rest of the body parts, specifically anything on the outside. It's POSSIBLE that during the course of the fight, you slashed up that wild bears hide so badly that it's pelt is unusable. That I can understand. But if you're collecting bear meat you cannot tell me that half the bears I kill are literally nothing but skin and bone. It's a small change, but it should make the game so much more bearable, pun not intended.
Another small change is that you carry a book, called the "Tome of Knowledge" of something. In it you record EVERYTHING that ever happens to you. Including monsters killed. Say you come across a farmer. He's mad at the rabbits that are eating all his lettuce. He wants you to kill 10 of them and he'll give you a pair of Rabbit Hide battle gloves. Thing is, you killed 40 of the little fuckers on the way there. Now if this was WoW, you'd turn around and go kill 10 more. But no, you just whip out your book, flip to "Voracious Rabbits" and be like, "BITCH! I already killed FORTY!" and he'll hand over the gloves.
Now of course the game is still in development (*cri*) so things are bound to change still. But from what little we know, it's going to be awesome.
Now because of my recent resurgence of interest, I'm back to plotting a new PC. Seems like I need to spend like $3k to get the machine I really want without cutting too many corners. Granted that includes a nice monitor and sound system but damn, thats going to take a few months of saving. Anybody know of a good site to use to build a custom PC on the cheap?

What happened to 1k? -_-
Money is no object when it comes to dominating the field of battle, woman! Don't stand in the way of progress!
This is for the Dark Gods! For Chaos! For WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
Oo~ooh! *whip-SNAP*
Money is unfortunately an object when you're poor like us.
We'll get our spiffy, expensive gaming PCs eventually though >.<
And have fun playing warhammer without me -sniff..-
