So I've had this game since it came out. I love C&C, ever since I watched somebody play the original over a friends house when I was in 3rd grade.
I was instantly hooked on the idea of the game. But not so much the strategy. I loved crippling the enemies forces and then building. I wouldn't stop building until I had a force under my command so vast, that the ancient video processors built into my machine were strained so far that just commanding my force to attack was played in slow motion. I could just imagine how the poor GDI power plant workers must have felt as they futilely tried to patch together a fighting force when suddenly, through the fog of war, a thundering acclaim would break the stillness. They would stop their work, to stare into the unseen, unable to grasp the horrifying truth.
Suddenly, a patrol of NOD Buggies would break through the line of sight. Ten, maybe a dozen of the futuristic motorbikes would descend upon the meager line of defense. But NOD Buggies are faster then any other unit. The true horror would appear next. Hundreds of troops, riflemen, grenadiers, rocket squads and many more would swarm the base as they scrambled to produce something to stem the tide.
I was a cruel leader though. I would grow bored watching the weak try and escape as my men ruthlessly gunned them down. Oh no, I needed more. That's where Nukes came in. I'd laugh maniacally as the 1000 megaton package made its way to the front lines.
I never scored very high, too many lost units, but I had one hell of a time doing it. My average time on a given map was somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 hours, with a par of about 15 minutes.
It should be only natural then, that C&C3 would be more of that same wonderful times. But it isn't. The pieces are there, but I just can't seem to get that same feeling as I used to. A shame really. As I would love to follow Kane in his precocious little madness.

I remember when Red Alert 2 came out. That was fun times.
I used to play Multiplayer for that quite often, and I was really mean to my friends. I'd always engineer rush them and take over all their crap, and then sell it for cash. Then, I would build a giant army of Cloaking Tanks and giggle to myself as my army, disguised as a growing forest, would plant itself outside the base.
"When trees attack" should make its way into my memoirs.
The other thing to do is make a million clone troopers. One for each building/unit the enemy has.
I AM ERASING YOU FROM TIME ITSELF.
