Much to my chagrin, my internet access for the past week or so has been nil. The modem upstairs in the main office decided to, I dunno, hang itself. Stupid thing just blinked lights at me in an angry fashion to alert me to some internal problem. I tried to turn it off for a while and give it a break, but when I turned it back on even the blinking lights were absent. We held a service, and called Verizon.
We just got the new box today, and so far it doesn't seem to be much better in terms of wireless access. I'm still connected at like 58% and nothing I do changes that. Still, I am connected, which is more than I can say about yesterday.
While my internet was out of commission I was spending a lot of time playing my 360 games. I was particularly enjoying a fresh run at Oblivion when it started to happen. Major slowdown here, a lockup there. Then the freezes started coming.
These are the telltale signs of a RRoD. It's coming soon. I'm sure if I was able to stay on the machines menus for more than 5 minutes before it freezes I would have one already.This is not good.
I looked through my paperwork and found my warrenty, I have 2 weeks left on it. That means my 360 has lasted just under 1 year. Dammit.
